I’ve been asked by one of my student at my online ballet class how the foot should move and look like during Battement Tendu. I’ve decided to make a closer look at it. 🔹Let’s look at the wrong way first. The foot looks frozen and fallen forward. It makes a lot of stress to the foot, ankle and knee. And it doesn’t lead you to turn out. It leads to the injury later 🔹In the right way the foot stays flat with the ankle muscles engaged all the time and entire leg is turning out 🔹During opening and closing baby toe remains on the floor 🔹When the foot reaches its longest point away from the standing foot it touches the floor with tip of the toe only
